“Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” - Oscar Wilde.

Oscar Wilde clearly had nothing but contempt for fast fashion, yet he is undeniably the most fabulous of Irish writers: even the statue of him at Merrion Square in Dublin depicts him lounging in a fab red, green and purple smoking jacket! So, always out of fashion, but never out of style?
Wilde is a man who marched to the beat of his own drum, but sadly, the world wasn’t ready for someone so nonconformist. He suffered greatly while imprisoned for being gay and died before his time. However, he did leave behind his great writing, so generations into the future can appreciate him for his talent and celebrate him for who he was.
We tried to capture his witty, fun, banterful writing style in our Wilde Bow Tie. Evocative of the enormous flamboyant ribbon-like bows that Wilde himself was wont to wear, we’ve scaled the whole thing down into a ribbon-esque dicky-bow.
We hope you like it. We think Oscar would!
